This story of mistaken love is a romantic fiction set in the English Regency period. It centers on Lord Sheringham who has been rejected by the woman he loves but the woman who has secretly loved him since childhood is waiting.

Only negative was that the voice of the heroine was sometimes a bit gushy and annoying.

One of my favourite Georgette Heyer books although not my favourite heroine because she doesn't have as much personality as those in other books.
