To be honest I found the details of the story a bit hard to follow. I'm a huge fan of Murderbot from the series of short novelas and I always wished the author would write something longer but now that I got it, it maybe didn't work so well for me. Despite that, my love for the murderbot series keeps my eager for more.

Everyone should read this. A very believable account of a corrupt man with too much power.

I loved the book and I am now an instant fan of the series but I feel a little bit ripped off to pay full price for such short stories. The narration was ok but not fantastic. Volume of the audio was a bit quiet which creates some difficulties for me to listen on my phone unless I use headphones.

Story was fantastic but would have given 5 stars if it had an ending. Narration was good but was hard to get past her ridiculous pronunciation of "primer". The way the whole thing was put together was atrocious. It wasn't properly separated into chapters so there was chapters over 8 hours long. The last "chapter" was titled "End Credits" and had over an hour of story on it. Also the recording broke down into static in several places. It was wose than amateurish and I don't know how this passes quality control.

So, yes it's a great story but buyer beware.

Listen to that narraror and tell me that's not Morgan Freeman. Having Morgan narrating seems like a great thing... we've all seen Shawshank Redemption right? But when every character sounds like Morgan Freeman that starts to get a bit weird.

Typical masterpiece from Richard Morgan. I love everything he does. I think that's all I need to say.

Enjoying the series but there were a few inconsistencies from the first book to this one. Not the place to say too much about it here but it was a bit clunky how he suddenly picked up new magic powers in this book that were completely absent in the first but it's written as if they were there all along.

Slightly unsatisfied with the ending. Left with the need to buy the next book for closure on the story. I was really starting to get into the characters. Just be aware that it is not really a story in itself. It's part of a story.

I read this book many years ago and it was responsible for making Joe Halderman one of my favourite authors. I have come back to it again after enjoying many of his other books. The narration was mostly good but the main character's American accent grated on me at first.

Awesome read as I would expect from Joe Halderman. He's the best! Great story and easier to follow than most sci-fi.
