According to mythology, mankind used to live in 'The Tranquiline Halls': heaven. But then the Voidbringers assaulted and captured heaven, casting out God and men. Men took root on Roshar, the world of storms, but the Voidbringers followed. The Almighty gave men powerful suits of armor and mystical weapons, the Shardblades. Led by 10 angelic Heralds and 10 orders of knights known as Radiants, mankind finally won (or so the legends say).

I am glad I stayed with this one, it took a while for me to get into it because it is just such a huge story, Massive world and has paved te way for infinite possibilities...

It could do with being a little edgier, a little sexier and more confronting but the sheer size of this universe makes this 40 odd hours in book one the foundation stone of something special in my humble...

Great Value too. There are trilogy's I've read, only half the size of this, the first installment.

What three words best describe Michael Kramer and Kate Reading ’s voice?

They Dovetail well.

Any additional comments?

Edgier in future, pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee !!!!

Sequel to the extraordinary The Name of The Wind, The Wise Man’s Fear is the second instalment of this superb fantasy trilogy from Patrick Rothfuss. This is the most exciting fantasy series since George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice and Fire, and a must for all fans of HBO's Game of Thrones.

Soooooo Goood, as good as Volume one if not better !!
Hurry up Patrick with your next work because you've ruined average books for me, as you've raised the bar in your genre !!

When you read a truly great work, it highlights just how much average 'piffle there is in the fantasy Sci-Fi sector!

Which scene did you most enjoy?

The composition of a song/ditty, about his main enemy at the university, just had me rolling on the floor...
An unexpected gem within.
Can;t remember the last time I laughed hard, at a scene in any work in this sector !!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Profound sadness at the end , knowing it was over and there's no more Rothruss work available at present...

Hurry up Paddy Me Old Son ...Gagging here !!!

Any additional comments?

Just perfectly balanced...

Humour, Fun, Love, Violence, suspense, adventure, revenge, hero making good...
I loved it and I laughed out loud !!
