Would you try another book written by Darcy Coates or narrated by Piper Goodeve?

you would have to work pretty hard to pursuade me.

Has The Haunting of Blackwood House put you off other books in this genre?

not at all.

What does Piper Goodeve bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you had only read the book?

confusion.

Do you think The Haunting of Blackwood House needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

no.

Any additional comments?

I just could not relate to the main character Mara. She seemed pretty mild mannered plain Jane, no interesting qualities kind of girl, and then burst out with these mega tantrums and become super insulting and rude to the other characters. Did not like/get her character. Storyline and writing was bland.. and found it hard to keep engaged.

Was ok

Yeah look... it was good if you haven't ever read or listened to a book in this genre.
The writing was not bad, the characters were likable enough but the story line was pretty much like dozens of books I've read previously in the biker genre.
To be honest it had nearly the exact same storyline to another book I listen to not long ago.
Yeah it was good if you dont want to have to think too much...

Laaaaaaaame!!

If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?

juveniles

Has The Way Evil Does put you off other books in this genre?

no, I'm just yet to find a properly written storyline in this genre

What aspect of Gwendolyn Druyor’s performance might you have changed?

Everything!

You didn’t love this book--but did it have any redeeming qualities?

no.

Any additional comments?

This was hard to even finish! Everything was cringeworthy. The characters are meant to be in their 40's yet the author makes them sound like pre pubescent horny teenagers. The amount of times i eyerolled, i thought i might lose my eyeballs. The story was badly written and the characters were just too annoying and unbelievable. The main character is just plain dummmb. She makes no sense at all. Lame lame laaame!

Yeah I was good... Her style of writing was very good but the storyline seemed to drag a bit.
The narrators were ok but I sometimes caught myself cracking up at the emphasis they put into their characters.
Sexy scenes were hot though!

By the third book I was really tired with the characters especially Christian.
His obsession with Ana became overbearing and even a turnoff. The only time he was happy with her was when he was screwing her, otherwise he was sulky, whiny and possessive... Not hot at all.
Ana just became lame, being so weak willed against him. Totally out of touch.
The phrases and lines became cringeworthy + more repetitive throughout the trilogy to the point I was rolling my eyes with annoyance. Lacked originality, and felt like I was looking into a teenagers wet dream. Juvenile.

Have read the book and it's always been a favorite that I could read over time and again.

First time listening to an audio book and have to say it took a while to get used to.
Narrator at times sounded a little cheesy but still worth a listen!
