It's time to form a guild, gather resources, and earn the acceptance of the Edgewood inhabitants. If only things were that easy. The dark elves aren't thrilled about having humans in Edgewood, the mine isn't vacant, and you can't form a guild without at least a few guild mates.

I was a just normal guy until the night the cherry blossoms bloomed, the night that Grace appeared on my doorstep. A failed sci-fi writer, a gamer, but a normal guy nonetheless. Grace was everything I was not - a psychic shifter, beautiful beyond my wildest imagination, a government conspiracy waiting to be unraveled. And that was before the second superpowered woman showed up to kill us both.

wile the guy is smart enough to know his building blocks and i can see where people were pulled along to keep going, i for one felt like the characters were lacking so much, that no amount of voice acting could save this. and the whole "im a writer." thing had me feeling like i was back in the new writers section on fanfiction. net
got this one on a whim, i should of pressed stop as soon as it said "harem." but i thought i was saying the authors name.

i can totally see what is being made fun of in the gen story going over people's heads.

Loss was nothing new to an orphan like Riley. But when the online persona he'd spent years building was ripped away by a monster with unbelievable power, everything changed. As a gamer who made a living from Sigil Online, losing his character meant losing his job and any means he had of paying his bills. Now, he had to start from the beginning, just like any other player joining Sigil Online for the first time. All the fame and fortune of a high-level character was gone.

Would you be prepared to work for free? How would you like to bust your hump for a large corporation 60-plus hours a week without a wage or a single day off for the vague promise of some mysterious perks in the distant future? You'd refuse point blank, wouldn't you? But what if the job in question was playing a state-of-the-art fantasy MMORPG game? And what if this was the only thing you're really good at? Especially considering that your in-game partner is someone really special to you - and this person already lives a virtual life?

having surprisingly read a lot of books with unicorns. I found myself asking myself 'why?' with a good part of this book. the pay off is at the end but that means you have to go onto the next book. Just me but I'm not a fan of this kinda of manipulation to get the next story. . . would not mind if some more development was given and then a hang up cliff hanger.
