What would have made Inherit the Stars better?

Less repetitive technical details - MOVE ON WITH THE STORY, PLEASE! Also, more character personality.

If this book wasn’t for you, who do you think might enjoy it more?

Teenagers and people who enjoy books with extremely shallow character development and hackneyed stories.

What will your next listen be?

Anything not by this author.

Which character – as performed by Tim Gerard Reynolds – was your favourite?

It was a while ago that I listened to the story, and it was so immemorable that I can't even recall the characters' names. Honestly the characters were so unbearably generic that I didn't have a favorite at the time.

[{ "answer" : "The main story itself was interesting, though in my view the author misses the point. She lionises these officers, as if their valiant efforts to track down a black killer were particularly valliant in the face of an otherwise apathetic force. But the truth is that the only reason this killing got the attention it did was because the victim was a cop's son. The police force in most palces in the USA still treat blacks like dirt.", "type" : "Overall", "question" : "What did you like best about Ghettoside? What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Nothing, the writing itself is just terrible. If I wanted to write a book that pandered as much as possible to the reddit crowd, I would have made a list of subjects to tick off including vintage gaming, athetism and other insufferable niche cultures. That's exactly what this author has done.

What could Ernest Cline have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Not published it.

Is there anything you would change about this book?

I really want to enjoy this book, but there are long interludes of excruciatingly boring and repetitive story. I haven't even finished the book yet, and I find myself skipping entire portions trying to get back to the main storyline.

If you’ve listened to books by Stephen King before, how does this one compare?

Similar to Under the Dome and other King titles.
