Ezra Taylor joined the army seeking adventure. He dreamt of exploration, opening up new lands, and doing his best to keep the peace—peacefully. Step into a Bible-inspired Christian short story where historical fiction, Biblical narrative, and devotional storytelling converge. In this poetic retelling, Jimi Fawehinmi reimagines the lives of King David and Bartimaeus, unveiling a deeper understanding of the Messiah’s lineage and God’s redemptive plan. Told through the eyes of Bartimaeus, the blind man who cried out for mercy, this Biblical fiction short story reveals faith that overcomes shame, silence, and spiritual warfare. It is more than a retelling. It is an inspirational Christian story of grace, forgiveness, and legacy.
