Ute Augstein was born in Bad Lauterberg, a small town in Germany, and lives with her family in Goslar. Growing up in the mysterious Harz mountains, she has been surrounded by fairy tales and myths since her childhood. She is a translator of romantic novels and writes books for adults and children. Her heart beats for heroes with rough edges. She would like to have tea with Maluna Moonlight and look for dragon gold with hobbits and dwarves.
As a German teacher and mother of two children, she particularly enjoys getting young readers excited about the magical world of books.
