MICHAEL COOK is a military veteran and current government civil servant with over 35 years of experience with the Department of Defense, first with the U.S. Navy and then with the U.S. Air Force as a civil servant. His career has taken him to over twenty countries which has played a key role in shaping his outlook on life. As a fledgling author he has had articles published in the Defense Acquisition Magazine.
He grew up in southeast Missouri with a deep passion for reading and learning. He holds an undergraduate degree in English from Chaminade University of Honolulu and graduate degrees in Management, Information Technology, and Engineering Management. He considers himself a life-long learner through both formal and informal education, which has been major contributors to his success in achieving his goals. In his spare time, he still enjoys reading, watching sports, and pursuing professional development opportunities.
A life-long St Louis Cardinals fan, he is excited to see the Cardinals win another World Series soon, almost as much as he looks forward to reading his next great book that provides insight and knowledge for personal growth. His bucket list includes visiting every Major League Baseball stadium, preferably to see the Cardinals play.
