Joseph lives in California, along the beautiful Mendocino Coast.
He loves the northern wine country, which inspired his first novella. A Vintage to Die For is a challenging whodunit fraught with plot twists and colorful characters... providing a suspenseful maze of murder and intrigue. Since the initial release of the Harlan Thane Mystery series, Joseph has also published the sequel to Vintage, called Second Harvest, and is now working on an entirely new adventure, The Dionysus Affair, which is slated for release in the fall of 2026
Joseph also writes short stories. Two of which have won top honors in Writers’ Digest. Emerging Behavior, a thriller about using AI to control fusion energy production, placed eighth in the 2023 competition. Twice Pierced, a thrilling adventure with romantic overtones involving a King’s Guard in 17th-century France, received honorable mention in 2023 and again in 2025 with a revised version.
His primary reading (and writing) includes mysteries, science fiction, and paranormal tales.
Joseph holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and co-authored a research paper on large-scale computer control systems while working on the National Ignition Facility at Lawrence Livermore Laboratories in central California.
