Jonas Leijonhufvud is a Swedish-American business and tech journalist and co-author of The Spotify Play. The book was originally published in Sweden in May of 2019 under the title Spotify inifrån (Inside Spotify) to critical acclaim. It has already been translated to over a dozen languages and is being adapted into a Netflix Originals miniseries. The Spotify Play is an updated version translated by the authors themselves, slated for release by Diversion Books in January 26, 2021. Born in 1974 to an American mother and a Swedish father, Jonas grew up in both Stockholm, Sweden, and Tucson, Arizona. He graduated from University High School in 1993 and four years later earned a BA in Media Arts from the University of Arizona. He has also studied economics and business at Stockholm University. Jonas has been a business journalist for over two decades, working at national papers such as Dagens Nyheter, Svenska Dagbladet and the business daily Dagens Industri, where he is currently a reporter at the tech subsidiary Di Digital. Jonas has also worked in television, among other things as a writer for the acclaimed historical food show Historieätarna. He currently resides on Södermalm in Stockholm with his partner Maria and their baby daughter Olivia. In his spare time he enjoys tennis, running, outdoor gyms, standup comedy, reading and spending time with family and friends.
