Jennifer M Ryan is a retired teacher and Deputy Principal, living in Captain Creek, Queensland. Jennifer M Ryan, a retired educator, has been a early up-taker of technology for decades. She has designed, installed and managed small and large networks, web and social media sites, has provided training and coaching to individuals and businesses, and has been the Deputy President of Educational Computing Association of Western Australia. Other passions, collecting Australian historical items, and the recording of local history, drove her desire to be President of Discovery Coast Tourism and Commerce. She lives in Captain Creek, Queensland, with her husband, dog and boundless native animals. Despite producing many non-fiction books, Seeing Me, Sweetly is her first novel. Early Life: Jennifer M Ryan was born on October 26, 1954, Pemberton, Western Australia. The second daughter, of what would become a family of five. She was brought up a Catholic, but struggled with many aspects of the religion and no longer embraces the faith. Education: After beginning her studies at Mt. Lawley College of Advanced Education, Ryan received her primary teaching diploma from Kelvin Grove College of Advanced Education. She received two post graduate diplomas from Edith Cowan University, and a Masters of Education from Notre Dame University, Australia. Personal Life: Ryan lives in rural Queensland. In 2009 she retired from full time employment. She is married to retired businessman, and sometime harmonica player, Robert Ryan. She is often asked about living 'in the bush'. She lives on 40 acres, 25 of which are almost pristine wilderness, that are a short drive from nationally recognized sandy beaches. Limited, for over twenty years, by the effects of Lupus and Rheumatoid Arthritis, she recently took up photography to record her place in the world. She has twice received acknowledgement for her images, The 1770 Captain Cook Art Competition, and the RTC local area annual competition. Ryan is very flexible, and arranges her regimes to accommodate the needs of her privately tutored students (adult and school), her family and her passions. Writing: Ryan published a bi-weekly column (Educating Agnes) for the local newspaper for over two years, starting in 2009 novels, before publishing her non-fiction titles: Sunday Targets (literacy focus), Business Management, Mastering University Writing, and Develop Leadership. The transition from formal academic writing, to columnist, copywriter, and non-fiction author to novelist has been completed in obscurity, but Jennifer asserts that the process was liberating and allowed her to develop her own voice.
