Dr. Donna Pincus, Editor and creator of The Child Anxiety Network, is an Associate Professor at Boston University, and the Director of the Child and Adolescent Fear and Anxiety treatment Program at the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders at Boston University. Dr. Pincus completed her graduate training in Clinical Psychology at Binghamton University, specializing in the assessment and treatment of children's fears and anxieties and children's coping with stressful events. Dr. Pincus completed her internship and post-doctoral training at the University of Florida Health Sciences Center. Dr. Pincus has been the Principal Investigator of several National Institute of Mental Health funded studies that have focused on advancing our understanding of effective treatments for youth with anxiety disorders. She has given numerous talks and workshops on child anxiety to parents, teachers, students and healthcare professionals around the country. Among her media appearances, Dr. Pincus has been interviewed on the NBC Today show, Good Morning America, Nick News, National Geographic Television, Women's Lifetime Television Network, and was featured in a 20/20 ABC News segment on childhood panic disorder.
