Cindy Kenney is an award-winning writer, editor, and speaker. She has written over 75 books, numerous curriculum projects, scripts, lyrics, articles, and much more! Cindy served as a writer, editor, and Publishing Director for Big Idea Productions (VeggieTales) and Exclaim Entertainment for over ten years. Ever since Cindy was a little girl, she enjoyed writing and dreamed of becoming a "real" author. She won numerous writing contests in high school and progressed to even more beyond college. Because of Cindy's love for the Lord and how much she enjoys working with children, she was a natural when it came to writing children's stories and curriculum that would draw children into learning and make them want to come back for more. She never imagined that one day she would not only write but would also work as an editor and decision-maker in the publishing industry. In addition, Cindy is the winner of many prestigious awards, such as Gold and Silver Medallions, the top CBC books of the year, the winner of several large writing contests, and Editor of the Year presented by the Association of Christian Writers. Cindy also enjoys speaking all around the country at writing, educational, and parenting conferences in addition to speaking to school groups, colleges, churches, and other venues. Cindy throws herself into the creative process and enjoys coming up with fun, innovative ideas, stories, and unique ways to reach her readers. She values the time she gets to spend with her audience and has appreciated the wonderful feedback she has received from them. Cindy has also progressed from writing children's books and curriculum to writing novels and nonfiction books, too, often making it difficult to choose which project she will work on next!
