This is maybe the 4th or 5th read of this book, book 1 of to date (June 2018) 12 books in the series. On reading the first chapter in the latest book, Ascension, I found myself a bit lost, feeling like I had missed something (in the back story) so, without too much further thought I decided to spend the next couple of weeks re-reading the entire series to centre myself firmly in the story arc from the beginning.
I found myself really enjoying meeting all the base group characters once again and reintroducing myself the the quirks and foibles of each of them.
If as I suspect I let the events of the last year or so get in the way of thanking the author(s) for taking me to new worlds and times by leaving timely reviews I hope to remedy that as I re-read the first eleven books and then move on to the latest episode.
On re-reading this book and having somewhat vague memories of the others read to date I have no hesitation in recommending this and the entire series to all readers of space opera genre in general and especially to those Kurtherian Gambit readers who may have somehow missed this great spinoff series to date.
