The Secret Garden is a wholesome tale about change, growth, and self-cultivation. Tinged with a dash of magic, this book oozes with the timeless charm of English moorlands. Yet it retains antiquated views of colonialism and perhaps a slightly to romanticised view about the moors. Nevertheless, it's a charming classic suitable for readers of all ages.
It was amazing, I read it when I was a small child and I loved it then. I always loved to read, but this book stood out for me so that at age 85 I decided to read it again. It filled my heart with joy and I hope it continues to bring joy to the young and young hearted a young hearted Kathleen Bridge.
