This is one of the best thrillers of the year. The characters are so well written they seem real, & you’re with them, cheering them on! The different levels of the story are seamlessly interwoven. It’s a book you cannot put down as you get more & more drawn in. Brilliant all through with a climactic conclusion! I’ve already downloaded the next one!!

Good idea that keeps you guessing but not for long. Our hero, yet another handsome and versatile detective, has all the police women frothing at the mouth. Even someone you might least suspect. There are two intertwined stories, one a police procedural, the other a romance. At times the romance upsets the tempo of the thriller and the narrative suffers. I found it overlong and plodding at times but it was diverting.
"Bye Bye Baby" shows us that Fiona McIntosh can turn her hand, or pen. to any genre. Her D.C.I. Jack Hawksworth character is impressive as are his supporting team. I shall be looking out for more books in the series.
A thoroughly gripping thriller ... couldn't put it down. I wish I had read this before 'Beautiful Death' as there were a couple of scenarios which carried over and which would have explained some of the circumstances. However, having said this, I would highly recommend yet another absorbing novel by Fiona McIntosh. I can't wait for her next literary offering.

This thriller has a lot of twists and turns as the history behind grisly murders is revealed, bit by bit. There is a lot of suspense, and a few surprise revelations, and the whole is generally well written. I found the detailed descriptions of some irrelevant things like two, pages describing a journey from work to home, quite unnecessary and so I skipped certain pages when this sort of thing happened. This is a good detective thriller, though, and I recommend it

Very initially, I struggled to get into this book but I suspect this was due to me having a million matters on my mind and my head being in the wrong place because in no time at all, I was totally engrossed and really enjoyed it. It's very well written, easy to read and you can't help but engage with the characters. You are left wanting for nothing and the story is well plotted and all loose ends are dealt with perfectly. Huge thumbs up from me and I look forward to more crime novels from this author.
This book had me hooked from the first page,I have read other books in other genres from Fiona, she is a first class author. The back stories for her charactors are always so fascinating and i can never wait to see what happens next. This book has many twists and turns you are in for a roller coaster ride. Bravo Fiona!!!
