About this listen

A pair of scorching shapeshifter romance novellas by two of the genre's hottest New York Times best-selling authors.

Miss Congeniality by Shelly Laurenston

Wolf-shifter Niles Van Holtz is young, good looking, and in line to become the Alpha Male of his family's Pack. So why does his gorgeous, young professor, Dr. Irene Conridge, act like he doesn't exist? When her enemies start coming out of the woodwork, Niles is there to protect her. Now, while he's securing her safety, she'll be hanging out at his house-right where he wants her.

Wicked Ways by Cynthia Eden

When Cain Lawson hear his sexy new neighbor scream one night, the last thing he expects to see is Miranda Shaw-star of his hottest fantasies-being attacked by a vampire. Lucky for her, Cain is not only a former FBI agent, but a jaguar-shifter of considerable power. But sparks fly between her and her hero, will the human Miranda be ready for the feral intensity of Cain's animal state?

MISS CONGENIALITY Shelly Laurenston
So entertaining, good narration.
Just loved listening to Irene and Niles’ story again.
The antics that occur and how Irene is unfazed by nearly everything shifter makes me laugh.
Her outspoken attitude is wonderful and refreshing.
Especially the beginning when Irene has nothing but disdain for Niles.
I listened through audible+ but will be buying this book to have in my library.
BOOK REVIEW
You cannot go wrong with this author and her books.
Even though this is short you do not feel like you have missed anything.
We met Irene in book 2, Go Fetch, when she is a professor at Miki’s college and helps out in a tough situation with the hyenas.
This story goes back in time to when Irene first met and didn’t like Niles Van Holtz of the Van Holtz wolf pack.
She is still a professor at the college and Niles is a major contributor as he has had the hots for Irene for several years.
A fun read with more laugh out loud moments as a very socially inept and uptight Irene is saved, sort of mated and is then courted by the man whore (wolf whore) Niles Van Holtz.
Though Irene is portrayed as cold and emotionless, I did not feel that way about her, she just took everything seriously and literally.
I loved her, especially when she was on the warpath. OMG so funny as she means every word she says.
Irene stabs Niles by accident, burns his Mercedes to the ground and mates him in this funny short story.
The Van Holtz pack are intertwined a fair bit in the PRIDE series.
WICKED WAYS Cynthia Eden
AUDIBLE
Found the TSTL actions of Miranda annoying.
This woman, who has no experience, thinks she can do better at catching a serial killing vampire than the experts, one of whom is a cat shifter.
And to not tell her cousin Sam, the sherriff, the truth so he was forewarned, just wrong on to many fronts.
BOOK REVIEW
This is okay but not the best book by Ms Eden, she can do way better.
Miranda gets a very fast introduction to the paranormal world when her date turns out to be a vampire and her hot neighbour who saves her is a shifter.
Insta lust then love and a short story that deserved better.

Miss Congeniality is brilliant.
