Sophie continues her trades with the monsters in the woods, only this time she has more at stake than just staying alive. Her husband has returned from the war, and he's dying of battle sickness. But the old Gypsy won't tend to his wounds unless Sophie sticks to her commitment to trade with another monster in the woods, and bring back the magical monster-stones, that only Sophie and a monster can make.
