Having loved the series for ever, listening to someone else read it was at 1st odd but definitely grew on me. As much as I found his ‘female voice’ off a bit, his voices for the males was the perfectly delicious ruggedness.... the stuff of alpha male dreams. Very good job.

i just listened to this book now even if its the first one in the series. Its an amazing start to an incredible series, Kresley penned characters that stays with you long after you read/listened to them. Robert you are magnificent as always thank you. x

For years I have avoided Audible books, till now. I have read this book and loved it and thought to try this. Low and behold I adored this book Robert was amazing, the accents were amazing!

I really enjoyed the unique take on a paranormal romance. The author did a solid job of world building and having never read a book with Valkyries in it before, this was a great addition for me. I rated 4 stars instead of 5 because, although I'm a big fan of steamy scenes, I found this story had more of those than actual plot development. I enjoy a bit more of a story line, especially when there's such an exciting and fiesty couple. I really liked the narrator but like a couple of other reviewers found his female voices a bit strange, especially when doing Myst's voice during an intimate scene. I found her gasps and some of the phrases, etc. from female characters a bit wispy and comical at times. I loved Nikolai's voice and accent though. It wasnt too much of long of a story and I'd listen to this author and narrator again.
