About this listen

"I see. Still, you are royalty to me.”

They soon arrived at her residence. As she rummaged through her bag, she cursed and held her head in her hands.

“Is anything wrong, Sylvia?” he asked as she sat there in the back seat visibly agitated.

“I cannot believe it. I left my purse inside my drawer in the office.”

“Oh, what a shame. But it is safe there, isn’t it?”

"You mean in my office?”

“Yes. You said it’s in your drawer, right?”

“Yes, that is where I left it.”

“Then you can always get it when you go to work tomorrow.”

“Yes. But how do I pay you now?”

He shrugged. “Maybe you could pay me tomorrow then.”

“No, I couldn’t do that. You have worked for me, Robby. I have to pay you.”

“I agree you have to pay me. But it shouldn’t be right away, at least not immediately, considering the situation you are in.”

“Damn. How could I be so forgetful?”

“It is all right. Just relax. Pay me tomorrow.”

“Thank you so much for your consideration, Robby. My goodness. Not many cab drivers are like you. Do you know that?”

“That is where you are mistaken, Sylvia. You just might be surprised to know that there are actually many cab drivers like myself. It is only that you have never come across them before.”

She smiled. “Anyway, I really appreciate your kindness. I really wish I could have paid you tonight. You bet that my tip would have been more than the fare itself.”

He grinned. “Please, it is enough. Don’t make my head burst because of your kind words. Can I help you with the laundry bags?”

“No, don’t worry. I have got them,” she said as she came down from the back seat. As she closed the door, he saw a furrow appear on her forehead. She looked at him in confusion.

“What is it?”

“Robby, do you know what I have just realized?”

“No. What?”

“I think I really have to get back to the office.”
