another brilliant addition to the Nothing Special series. X and Meridian are a wild card edition to the series independent super operatives out for revenge for the killing of x's brother. clever, strong damaged, definately interesting. lots more God and Day. more more more

Elite international assassins with the Black Raven program, Ex (Xavier) and Meridian (Marshall) fly to Atlanta to mourn and avenge the death of Ex’s younger brother. This sets them on a collision course with LTS God and Day and their entire narcotics task force, who are already reeling from being continually undermined by the Atlanta DA’s Office. Something’s not right and God in particular is feeling frustrated and ineffectual. Although they don’t usually get emotionally attached to their missions, this is personal: Ex and Meridian have no patience for following the letter of the law and they’ll stop at nothing to get justice. The cracks in their emotionless façades also allow them to finally express their feelings for each other.

This was a great adventure with AE Via at her high-steam / high-action best, I really enjoyed it! There’s also a satisfying two-chapter novella about Green and Ruxsberg which follows the events of Ex Meridian. I also liked the blend of the narcotics team with the Black Ravens as well as the Bounty Hunter cameos. 🎧 Voice actor Aiden Snow’s deep voice seemed even deeper and more delicious when he channelled Ex and Medirian, another brilliant narration!

Oh boy!!!! These two came from left field and what a perfect pairing they are, total badasses🔥 Our favourite characters are all included and I adore all of them, I hope this series never ends!!!
Narration is, as always, absolutely perfect!

I didn’t think Via could come out with better partners than God and Day however, Ex & Meridian have blown this series out of the park. I couldn’t get through this book fast enough. and then it was finished too soon.

Aiden Snow as usual with his deep baritone did an amazing job.

The seventh edition of the Nothing Special series does not disappoint. Via and Snow form a great and formidable pair with this series. X and Meridian are outliers from the main group of characters in the series but are expertly weaved into the story and the cast. Highly worth a listen.
