Great performance. Just a collection of stories that were interesting. Not as motivational as his last book, but I did read his last book quite a long time ago.

'Are you happy in your life?' Those are the last words Jason Dessen hears before the masked abductor knocks him unconscious. Before he wakes to find himself strapped to a gurney, surrounded by strangers in hazmat suits. Before the man he's never met smiles down at him and says, 'Welcome back, my friend.' In this world he's woken up to, Jason's life is not the one he knows. His wife is not his wife. His son was never born. And Jason is not an ordinary college physics professor but a celebrated genius who has achieved something remarkable. Something impossible.

As a young man, Ed Catmull had a dream: To make the world’s first computer-animated movie. He nurtured that dream first as a Ph.D. student at the University of Utah, where many computer science pioneers got their start, and then forged an early partnership with George Lucas that led, indirectly, to his founding Pixar with Steve Jobs and John Lasseter in 1986. Nine years later and against all odds, Toy Story was released, changing animation forever.

Creativity Inc highlights that all companies have challenges, even an amazing company like Pixar. I find a lot of parallels between the problems that Pixar had and the company I work for. It has given me a better understanding into these issues and how to deal with them.

Ed guides us through the journey of Pixar, and paints a picture of what makes Pixar great. The people and culture.

Ed also brings a new perspective to Steve Jobs that I've previously had of him. It shows that Steve was human and changed over the years.

Michael Lewis, the Master of the Big Story, is back with Flash Boys. If you thought Wall Street was about alpha males standing in trading pits hollering at each other, think again. That world is dead. Now, the world's money is traded by computer code, inside black boxes in heavily guarded buildings. Even the experts entrusted with your cash don't know what's happening to it. And the very few who do aren't about to tell - because they're making a killing.
