Story
What drives our political and moral beliefs? What makes us like some things and dislike others? What shapes how we behave, and misbehave, in a group? What makes you, you? For centuries, philosophers and scholars have described human behaviour in terms of sex, power and money. In The Status Game, best-selling author Will Storr radically turns this thinking on its head by arguing that it is our irrepressible craving for status that ultimately defines who we are.

Story
Twenty-five years ago, Neil Howe and the late William Strauss dazzled the world with a provocative new theory of American history. Looking back at the last 500 years, they’d uncovered a distinct pattern: modern history moves in cycles, each one lasting roughly 80 to 100 years, the length of a long human life, with each cycle composed of four eras—or “turnings”—that always arrive in the same order and each last about 25 years. The last of these eras—the fourth turning—was always the most perilous, a period of civic upheaval and national mobilization.

Story
The quest for social justice is a powerful crusade of our time, with an appeal to many different people, for many different reasons. But those who use the same words do not always present the same meanings. Clarifying those meanings is the first step toward finding out what we agree on and disagree on. From there, it is largely a question of what the facts are. Social Justice Fallacies reveals how many things that are thought to be true simply cannot stand up to documented facts, which are often the opposite of what is widely believed.

Story
Continuing where Thus Spoke Zarathustra left off, Nietzsche's controversial work Beyond Good and Evil is one of the most influential philosophical texts of the 19th century and one of the most controversial works of ideology ever written. Attacking the notion of morality as nothing more than institutionalised weakness, Nietzsche criticises past philosophers for their unquestioning acceptance of moral precepts. Nietzsche tried to formulate what he called "the philosophy of the future".

Publisher's Summary
“Read this book, strengthen your resolve, and help us all return to reason.” —JORDAN PETERSON
There’s a war against truth … and if we don’t win it, intellectual freedom will be a casualty.
The West’s commitment to freedom, reason, and true liberalism have become endangered by a series of viral forces in our society today. Renowned host of the popular YouTube show The Saad Truth, Dr. Gad Saad exposes how an epidemic of idea pathogens are spreading like a virus and killing common sense in the West.
Serving as a powerful follow-up to Jordan Peterson’s book 12 Rules for Life, Dr. Saad unpacks what is really happening in progressive safe zones, why we need to be paying more attention to these trends, and what we must do to stop the spread of dangerous thinking. A professor at Concordia University who has witnessed this troubling epidemic first-hand, Dr. Saad dissects a multitude of these concerning forces (corrupt thought patterns, belief systems, attitudes, etc.) that have given rise to a stifling political correctness in our society and how these have created serious consequences that must be remedied—before it’s too late.

A New Perspective
This great audiobook truly changed my opinion on so many topics, especially The power given by freedom of speech, alongside the need for scrutiny of Islamic traditions.
I would most definitely recommend this book for anyone who wishes to gain an insight into modern day political issues.

Terrific antidote to bad ideas
This is a well reasoned and funny book which seeks to explain how our minds can become 'infected' with bad ideas and what we can do about it. Professor Saad has a wonderful sense of humour and a finely tuned moral compass. Highly recommended.

Pretty good
Is there a direct correlation between how smart someone is to how much of a wanker someone is? This book definitely makes me think so. Very thought provoking.

At last some sanity
This is a must read/listen book for anybody confused by the illogical outlook of America’s progressives who’s bizarre ideas have begun to infect the Western world. Well written and well read. Any person not confronted by reality should buy this book.

Well thought out treatise on intellectual honesty.
Liked everything about it except the narrator. Having been introduced to the book after listening to the author giving an interview, I agree with the interviewer, GS should be allowed to record his own books, and I would love to listen to them that way.

Great book
The clarity of it is astonishing! We, the people that agree hard work must be put in place, need to get back the common sense in our cultures. Thanks for your work!
