Story
We were fighting on the wrong side of a war we couldn't win. And that was the good news. The Ruhar hit us on Columbus Day. There we were, innocently drifting along the cosmos on our little blue marble, like the native Americans in 1492. Over the horizon come ships of a technologically advanced, aggressive culture, and BAM! There go the good old days, when humans only got killed by each other. So, Columbus Day. It fits. When the morning sky twinkled again, this time with Kristang starships jumping in to hammer the Ruhar, we thought we were saved.

Story
All Systems Red is the tense first science fiction adventure novella in Martha Wells' series The Murderbot Diaries. For fans of Westworld, Ex Machina, Ann Leckie's Imperial Raadch series, or Iain M. Banks' Culture novels. The main character is a deadly security droid that has bucked its restrictive programming and is balanced between contemplative self-discovery and an idle instinct to kill all humans.

Publisher's Summary
The biggest science fiction series of the decade comes to an incredible conclusion in the ninth and final novel in James S.A. Corey’s Hugo-award winning space opera that inspired the Prime Original series.
Hugo Award Winner for Best Series
The Laconian Empire has fallen, setting the 1,300 solar systems free from the rule of Winston Duarte. But the ancient enemy that killed the gate builders is awake, and the war against our universe has begun again.
In the dead system of Adro, Elvi Okoye leads a desperate scientific mission to understand what the gate builders were and what destroyed them, even if it means compromising herself and the half-alien children who bear the weight of her investigation. Through the wide-flung systems of humanity, Colonel Aliana Tanaka hunts for Duarte’s missing daughter...and the shattered emperor himself. And on the Rocinante, James Holden and his crew struggle to build a future for humanity out of the shards and ruins of all that has come before.
As nearly unimaginable forces prepare to annihilate all human life, Holden and a group of unlikely allies discover a last, desperate chance to unite all of humanity, with the promise of a vast galactic civilization free from wars, factions, lies, and secrets if they win.
But the price of victory may be worse than the cost of defeat.

loved the ending
I know some people are frustrated that not every single detail was explained, but I think it did a great job capping off the story for the Rosi gang.
They all stayed true to their characters and had a bombastic final entry in their tale.

Not going gentle into that good night…
Well heck, if you’re at book 9 and know this is where it ends, then Leviathan Falls is a done deal, delivering on everything the last eight books have been building to. Old characters get their swan songs, new characters push the world out some as the curtain starts to fall and the narrative finality left me sitting quietly smiling in the melancholia. Jefferson Mays nails the narration - as always - and if the Roci’s story had to close this was the perfect exit.

Stunning finish to a world class sci-fi series
If you are reading book 9 of a series, I don't need to tell you how fantastic the body of work is. Rest assured that there is no fumble at the last. Epic finish. Thanks Ty and Daniel for years of enjoyment and years of rereading to come.
