I wasn't sure about this book due to the tacky cover. It made me think it would be another pathetic 'romance' with no story and all bedroom scenes. ..Show More »/>I decided to give it a go due to other positive reviews and was pleasantly surprised with a solid story that was exciting and kept my interest the whole time. The narrator did a great job for the most part, her Scottish accent wasn't great but it is one of the harder accents to master so it can be forgiven. The author did a fantastic job of describing the wonders Hugh felt at experiencing the 21st century and the every day experiences and expressions that we take for granted. She also researched her material well to make for a plausible and gripping story line without any cringe worthy moments. I would also like to mention that there are minimal sex scenes that take place near the end of the story. They are written in a very tasteful way and aren't too detailed. I believe even someone who is put off by such scenes in books would be able to bare these. To sum up I would give 4.5 stars for this excellent book and I would beg the author to please change the cover to a more suitable and respectable cover to truly reflect the contents of the book. If this isn't done I think she would be selling herself short.
