I read this after reading the second book in the series and fortunately it didn't stuff the story up too much. I like the story line but the English a..Show More »ccent was so frustrating to listen to, especially with the pronounciation of certain words (flash is said as flarsh). I will read the rest of the series as the men are definitely worth the imagination.
I really enjoyed the story line of this book. It's a great combination of romance mixed in with a murder mystery that keeps you guessing and in suspen..Show More »se the whole way. The narrator does the voices well but I find her reading flow very stilted. You do get used to it but it does detract somewhat. One other thing that bothers me is the authors repetitive use of sentences. Again you get used to it but definitely something I picked up on. You get a bonus look into the next book in the series at the end which is contributing to me wanting to read more of these books. Will read again.
Of the first four books in this series that I've read so far, this is my favourite. Emma Taylor finally seems to have worked out a better flow of the ..Show More »words which I found hard to listen to in Sweet Dreams. Lexi is a strong character and quite funny and Ty is your typical, sexy hunk-o-spunk. The story line is great and while it's somewhat predictable and strongly reiterates the last two books, I still enjoyed it.
If you are getting to this book after reading the prequels then you know what to expect. I have really enjoyed all the books up until this one. This b..Show More »ook just didn't have a strong story line and it was way too predictable. It makes me wonder why any woman would live in Carnal when they all end up in the same sticky situation. You do need to read this book to find out the outcome of Lady Luck but I feel it could have been written differently to get to the same ending. The main character Faye, is an innocent 29 year old librarian who uses the word Frack instead of F*** and it is really annoying by the end. It wasn't as sexy as previous books which is disappointing. I also didn't like the use of children as a way of bringing the main characters together, I don't want to give anything away, but it doesn't lead to romantic tendencies. I have already purchased the next three books in this series so I'm hoping they'll pick up again!
After the first 4 books in this series being so similar, it's nice to get a different story line with a different ending. Unfortunately I'm finding th..Show More »e romance scenes too repetitive from each book but how many ways can you write that kind of stuff? Will keep reading the rest of the series.
Finally Kristen Ashley is back on track. Story line is great and surprising. You need to read the previous books to understand the characters and thei..Show More »r stories. Emma Taylor has improved out of sight with the flow of her reading. Very happy with this book.
I have read lots of books I only choose to listen to special ones. Kristen Ashley writes in a style that lends itself perfect for listening to. The re..Show More »ader is excellent and near the end of the story made me cry, in a good way. Recommend highly
