Elon Musk is among the most controversial titans of Silicon Valley. To some, he's a genius and a visionary, and to others, he's a mercurial huckster. Billions of dollars have been gained and lost on his tweets, and his personal exploits are the stuff of tabloids. But for all his outrageous talk of mind-uploading and space travel, his most audacious vision is the one closest to the ground: the electric car.

I wrote a fair number of poems in my younger days, saved and placed in a folder titled “King Among the Prawns”. Now that I’m self-publishing my more recent books, I decided to let these out for a ramble. Some of them I'm quite proud of, and some are fairly naff. They exist as a window on a time in my life when I was näive but learning. Along with these are a second batch, inspired by the trauma and after-effects of my brain hemorrhage and stroke in 2009, and a mental health poetry group I was introduced to shortly after my stroke; great therapy!
