Publisher's Summary
For Ellie Linton, being back on the farm with her parents is what makes the terrible things that happened during the war, the things she and Homer, Lee, Fi, and the others had to do, all worthwhile. It's where she belongs. But the war won't let her go. A devastating tragedy has shattered any hope she ever had to reclaim her life, or herself. It's a new kind of fight. And the enemy isn't always from the other side of the border.

It got really weird.
This has to be said. Near the end of the book, as Ellie is grieving, her thoughts turn to her parents genitals. She describes her mothers nipples and fathers penis, along with their pubic hair, which is so disturbing and completely uncalled for. It honestly made me very uncomfortable, I returned the book.

A good continuation
This was a great listen, but the stakes were never quite as high as in the original series. Still a great continuation.

The Journey continues
Loved the way the narrator expressed each character. Not quite as captivating as the tomorrow series, but still an enjoyable book to listen too.
