Being destined to become some kind of supernatural electrical outlet isn't exactly awesome - especially when Alexandria's "other half" is everywhere she goes. Seth's in her training room, outside her classes, and keeps showing up in her bedroom - so not cool. Their connection does have some benefits, like staving off her nightmares of the tragic showdown with her mother, but it has no effect on what Alex feels for the forbidden, pure-blooded Aiden. Or what he will do - and sacrifice - for her.
When daimons infiltrate the Covenants and attack students, the gods send furies - lesser gods determined to eradicate any threat to the Covenants and to the gods, and that includes the Apollyon…and Alex. And if that and hordes of aether-sucking monsters didn't blow bad enough, a mysterious threat seems willing to do anything to neutralize Seth, even if that means forcing Alex into servitude…or killing her. When the gods are involved, some decisions can never, ever be undone.

"Original and fun"
I would because it is entertaining and funny
I would compare this to something along the lines of Vampire Academy.
My favorite scene is... Almost any involving Seth! He is hotness!
I recommend this series.
I love this story. It's a great take on Greek gods & demigods. I would recommend to anyone who enjoys a little history.
"Took me awhile to adjust to the narrator's voice"
But once I did. I was enthralled. If you read & love the Lux series; and are listening to this one. Give the narrator time before saying "it sucks". It took me to get through book 1 & the majority of this one until I could fall into the story.
I don't think so. Although the story is interesting, is not the kind of book that would hold my attention again.
Her performance was perfect.
No. I wanted to listen, but not as badly as others books I've read.
Finally! Finally! Another series I can dive into & go away from the world for a time. This second book was even better than the first in this Covenant series. Thank you Jennifer! Awesome!
The narrator gets on my nerves a little bit when she ends each and Every sentence wirely like.i have to take breaks because the story is good I want to finish and being more for a young teenager it's high schoolish. The story line is pretty good though
"And the plot thickens!"
I love the contrast of feelings between the main characters and love that I don't know what's coming next!!
Somewhat slow moving for the first two but this last one finished off great! Not that I didn't enjoy them, but there was a lot of buildup necessary. Excited to start the 3rd!
"very much like vampire academy. but still a good"
love the way the story is told regardless of the similarities to vampire academy. the way the author brakes up the story is also very well thought.
"Great SECOND book in series!!!!!!"
Yes it does.
When Aiden took Alex to the Zoo.
To have a forbidden love is to keep it a secret, half bloods are not allowed to love a pure, however Alex Andros doesn't listen to the laws.
The Covenant is by far the best of Armentrout's book series. I keep re-reading them and they never get boring, discovering cleverly hidden hints and details each time. The characters are brilliant and the story unfolds into something magnificent. This second book lays down the foundation for the story that will spiral, swirl and grow from here on out. The narrator is simply the best, no one impersonates young adult characters, be it male or female, young or old, or even someone with a foreign accent, quite like Justine Eyre.
This book was very enjoyable easy listening, narrated very well the story line is great keeping your attention now straight on to book 3
