Thor's hammer is missing again. The thunder god has a disturbing habit of misplacing his weapon - the mightiest force in the Nine Worlds. But this time the hammer isn't just lost; it has fallen into enemy hands.
If Magnus Chase and his friends can't retrieve the hammer quickly, the mortal worlds will be defenseless against an onslaught of giants. Ragnarok will begin. The Nine Worlds will burn. Unfortunately, the only person who can broker a deal for the hammer's return is the gods' worst enemy, Loki - and the price he wants is very high.

I am a Reader, love books and never get anything done. Audible books allow me to do things and still enjoy books.
This is the 2nd really poor narrator I have had out of my books. It really takes something from the story. He really rushes, he needs to slow down. It was annoying I don't want to listen to it as if I was speed reading. If someone is trying to make books shorter it is a bad idea.
Rick Riordan's stories are getting better with every book. This instalment is well written, exciting and spot-on in every respect. I particularly like the inclusion of increasingly diverse characters. Although these teens face supernatural dramas, they have their fair share of normal, teenage issues as well.
My only complaint is that the narrator spoke way too fast. I slowed it down to 0.8 and that was just about right. He also had a really annoying accent, however that is probably a personal bias - I always find American narrators difficult to listen to.
Amazing voice modulation....if this guy doesn't voice the sequel I'll be very disappointed..
but if they got a girl to say the female roles even better
Loved the story, just brilliant. one dislike I preferred the previous voice reader from book one.
Best narrator out of the all of the Rick Riordan books! Great read for those even above the recommended reading age, can't wait for the next installment!
"This book is magnificent"
This book is a unique twist of the Greek gods into Norse gods cannot wait for number 3
This is a great book especially if you've read the first one
Unfortunately it does end on a cliffhanger
Whilst the book and characters are just as good as in the previous instalment, it was a little hard to listen at first as the voice has changed. However, that doesn't take away from the overall experience and after a while, you don't notice. Altogether good and enjoyable (Very glad to have Alex Fierro).
"Read too fast"
It may just be me but I feel the narrator reads too fast at x1 speed, if you slow it down it's too slow. I couldn't find a happy median and so found the story rushed and not the relaxing listen that I hoped for. Although the story itself is well written and enjoyable.
"Great Story, Bad Pronunciation By Narrator"
Loved the story line, also the gender fluid story ark was very thought provoking.
I dislike the narrators pronunciation or norse words, this alone was the only drawback of the book
Death is only the start
"Rick Riordan is a great writer"
I have loved every book of his I have read can't wait for the next one
"A great continuation"
I was hooked from the start to the very end (that cliffhanger). It was great to see the characters relationships develop and the implication of new ones was perfect. Had a very modern appeal with gender fluid characters. Difficult to explain in word how much I enjoyed it, and I am already impatiently waiting for the next instalment.
"Not his best work"
Not his best Work by any stretch of the imagination.
I was hoping it would have been better giving his previous works unfortunately this not case.
