Great book bad ending

I loved this book right up untill the end, obviously I won't post a spoiler and you can decide for yourself but I was not happy with the ending.
But as I said great book.

Great, Quirky, Heartfelt, Story

This story about the online fandom and the frustration of the music stars relationships with his fans was so engaging.

Possibly because of the unexpected connection between Eric Thorne and the agoraphobic Tessa Hart.
The ending though was a surprise.
But
Considering Eric’s disenchantment with his fame, not totally unexpected
I enjoying this story
