Story
Somewhere on the frontier between thought and reality exists the Discworld, a parallel time and place that might sound and smell very much like our own, but which looks completely different. Particularly as it’s carried though space on the back of a giant turtle (sex unknown). It plays by different rules. But then, some things are the same everywhere. The Disc’s very existence is about to be threatened by a strange new blight: the world’s first tourist, upon whose survival rests the peace and prosperity of the land.

Publisher's Summary
She had become an Abhorsen, Lirael thought, at least on the outside.
Critic Reviews
"Abhorsen is an excellent denouement for a fantasy that is both literary and popularly accessible. Out loud, the powers of this future classic are intensified, especially through Curry's inspired dramatization." (School Library Journal)
"At once an allegory regarding war and peace and a testament to friendship, this thought-provoking fantasy also resolves the true identities of the popular Dog and Mogget characters and suggests that Nix may still have more tricks up his sleeve." (Publishers Weekly)

Wonderous
Picking up where Lirael left off, Abhorsen is a wonderfully drawn conclusion to the trilogy. Tim Curry is at his best, bringing the characters to life, and Garth Nix's tale draws us right in. With heaps of magic, necromancy and ghoulish dead, the protagonists must strive hard to survive this epic tale. I personally had trouble getting through Sabriel. It wasn't a book I could read, but Tim brought it to life, and this book is well worth the hours of listening.

Tim Curry
This version is worth every penny. Tim Curry was perfect as narrator. While the story can be a bit long in the tooth about character worries and two very logical things some of the main characters ignore and agonize over needlessly, Moggot is the saving grace imo to all the back and forth of "what is that, explain" exposition. I'd love to see this series made into the next to film or TV, with all hopes that the writers of said show realize their source material is worth keeping authentic to and not rewriting completely (looking at you wheel of time... more like wheel of whatever the writers thought was a better story).

Captivating
So nostalgic to listen to my childhood favourite. The voices were less funny in this book compared to the first two, which is a good thing.

loved it, as per usual although Tim Curry, however brilliant, did a lot of similar voices, sometimes confusing

Excellent read, AMAZING narrator
one of my favourite books of all time, I've read it many times. Love Curry's performance, and personally I find it lovely to fall asleep to. Character voices and expression are all excellent, and very true to the book. I love how he does Mogget

Brilliant
What the heck is up with that music at the end? Couldn't hear the last few minutes of the book. Other than that is was amazing. Been over 10 years since I read the series last. Kinda sad now. I had forgotten. Excited to read Clariel now.
