This is the complete set of the Vemreaux Trilogy, including The Way, The Truth, and The Lie.
In a world not divided by race, creed, or color but by blood type, Blue Anders finds herself on the wrong end of fortune's mercy. Born with a lesser blood type, Blue is raised in The Way, a work camp for A-bloods.

blue started out being a strong female character, and I was so happy about this. By the third book she was a whiny victim, unable to make a decision, or be seen as a separate person.
"Religious overtones and emotionalally damaged protagonist"
I liked this book enough to read it through and give it four stars, but got tired of the long road to good mental health Blue, whose story this is, needed. Yes, that's realistic, but painful to read. Additionally, I wish I had known Ms. Toomey wrote for a Christian audience. Nevertheless, the story line is a good one and by the time the e d comes the happily ever after is satisfying.
"Great Dystopian Trilogy for the Money"
This was a great trilogy. The characters had great personalities and were performed well. The story was different, which I really liked. I would recommend this to anyone who likes dystopian society books.
"AMAZING NARRATION! Great story"
I loved Blue. She was funny and awkward. She was great. Her character really added to the story. I Know this is a book about her and her crazy life but not completely. It's a great book about all of them.
I have never listen to Madeline Mrozek's performances before. I was actually disappointed that she didn't have any more titles that were appealing. SHE IS AMAZING! This book benefited from a talented person like Madeline. The book was strong and original but the narration added the cherry and sprinkles to the top of the cake.
I am not good with tag lines. However, if it was made into a movie I would watch it!
The first story was hard to complete. I got better about 3/4 of the way. STICK WITH IT... you will be rewarded with a fantastic and original story. Loved this trilogy and really sad to say good bye.
"Excellent story. Well-rounded characters."
I had a bit of a hard time following, to begin with. Once the futuristic world was set in my mind, though, I didn't want to stop listening. I will be passing this along to my teenage daughter next, for a listen. I just know she will enjoy it, too.
"Great Value: Hours per Credit"
This is an acceptable buy, providing a lot of listening for the single credit. You'll want that, because by the third book you will have the speed cranked up. By the end, I was listening at 2x speed.
Why? Because "Blue" is so darn whiny. The second and third books lose a lot of action, focusing more and more on the family dynamic. Problem is, the hero ("Blue") just keeps doing the same thing over and over. There's lots of whining and crying, with little character development.
Worth buying, but be ready to turn up the listening speed.
listened to this 3 times still ♡ it. listen to it many more times too I'm sure.
"Better than good- truly wonderful."
A startlingly awesome listen!! Need more than five stars to do it justice. Compelling characters, great storyline and great narration.
There are so many skips and stutters in this download, I cannot listen to it. Grr.
"Mostly a Good Story"
i have never read the printed version
i like dystopian stories, this one had a very unique story twist.
too dang similar
I like the story line and the charcters are pretty well written. My biggest complaint is the main character Blue is so annoying and whiney that some of her parts to story made listening excruciating. i wanted to punch her every time she threatened someone who spoke positively about her. i hated her character. she was too nieve and annoying. Everyone else i liked, some were I ven funny.
"NO! Whine Whine"
The great story line.
I liked that it was a sort of Vampire theme but it didn't dwell on the blood sucking...well actually there is no blood sucking...you need to listen to the books to find out what they do instead. I also like Dystopian story lines
I liked Blue. She whined a lot and shouted No! at the drop of a hat but that wasn't the readers fault
At times I wanted to give Blue a good shake.
The third book dwelt on the family relationship instead of getting on with the story. If I was reading the book I would have been flicking through parts of this.
