Publisher's Summary
Gary Leger thought life after college would bring great things. Instead, he's stuck in a dead-end job and finding that the real world isn't all it's cracked up to be. But when he walks into the woods behind his house one day, Gary finds a world beyond the "real world" - a realm of elves and dwarfs and witches and dragons. Enjoyable light fantasy
‘The woods out back’ was an enjoyable read, evoking a similar fantasy adventure vibe to ‘Lord of the Rings,’ though without the deep complexity. Perfect for readers of all ages looking for a clean and pleasurable escape, it keeps the story light and engaging. I particularly appreciated the skillful narration, which added to the immersive experience. It may not offer profound insights, but for entertainment and a delightful journey, it hits the mark. 8/10.
