There are reasons we fear the night. Now he must become one of them.
Bill Ryder has a powerful destiny. He just never expected it to involve an amnesiac bloodsucker, a bunch of D&D dorks, and a hormonal witch. It's time for the gamer, geek, and legendary vampire to embrace his fate. Ordered to storm the vampire stronghold in Boston, Bill must approach the doorstep of the invincible undead warlord he's destined to face. It's his only chance of stopping Armageddon.
As his enemies stand in his way and his allies falter, the vicious beast inside of him wants out. If he stands tall and faces his fate, the world might just have a chance of surviving. If he fails, an unquenchable evil will destroy everything Bill knows and loves.
Why can't the end of the world ever be easy?
The Wicked Dead is the seventh book in the Tome of Bill saga, a series of foul-mouthed horror comedies with a nasty overbite. If you like bloody fight scenes, geeky in-jokes, and breakneck-paced action, then you'll love Rick Gualtieri's latest installment in the perfect vampire series for the 21st century adult.

"I love Bill"
Love these books, can't wait for the next one. Just re-read the books. Hope Tom gets fixed.
Yes, I love the narration and it wouldn't be the same without Mr. Fetherolf
Anything Tome of Bill is like entertainment gold to me, the whole package. The story, narration, expansion into the Tome of Bill world is excellent, there's been no, loss of interest even going into book 7
Yes, this lives up to his standard of excellence
I've read the whole series and let me say first that I really enjoyed it. I think CJF does a good job in inflection and voices, but I cannot believe how many relatively common words he mispronounces. Toward the end of this book, Bill makes a comment about "spelunking down caverns", or something like that, but CJF said spledunking. At this point in the series, it just added to the humor of the book. But really, as far as pronunciation goes, he is by far the worst narrator I have ever heard. This is offset by the fact that he is an excellent narrator as far as voice-acting. I will also say that the editing quality of this book is far superior than its predecessors. All in all, a truly enjoyable read.
"I can't Wait until Book 8!!!"
The whole "The Tome of Bill" series is excellent. Book 7 is certainly no different. It all keeps building up the characters and building upon the last books. I love it!
Well, Bill is. He carries the series with his wit and wise cracks and how he plays against Sally. But Gan is also pretty damn good. She is so crazy I love her!
Yes, its hard to stop but not always possible to listen in one shot.
I enjoy the time of I enjoy the Tome of Bill series, I am tired of Bill's childish behavior. He has had several adventures and he stays the same. being a smart-ass is fine and dandy, but show some maturity. He gets annoying.
Yes. I love the characters, but he needs to move past trying to be so cool. Bill has been told over and over to learn about his powers and the vampires. But he won't grow up.
The doll scene. I laughed my a** off
Mostly enjoyable but there were some annoying parts.
Hope the next in the series is better.
"Two books in one"
This was by far the most plot driven novel of them all. At first it felt as if it was going to be the end of the series and climatic book to end them all and then we find our selves on the cusp of more adventure wild rides and twists and turns that make you hope for more books to follow. I have read that there is one last Bill novel but I hope that changes and a few more novels come out in the series. There are so many spin off stories that could be told from these characters it is amazing how far and deep each individual characters go. I would love to read more about James, Joshua, and Turd.
"Things get real..."
while still rocking the humor present in all of the Tome of Bill books, the stakes get raised in this one and thinks get dark. An awesome 3rd act suprise brings back the chuckles and makes the end less uncomfortable for the listener. Publish date for #8 is April 29, I hope the audiobook is close behind!!!
"Finally the stakes just keep getting higher"
The build up was worth the wait. wish they had more action from Sheila. despite this the stakes just keep getting raised.
"lots of boring dialog and bill's ramblings"
if the book had more action and less rambling, it would be better
Bill just rambles on about everything and it gets quite boring after a while. Not interesting at all.
His voice acting was great. Too bad the book sucked.
I'm returning this book for a refund and avoiding this author.
"This story has a great story with the series"
The cast of characters keeps this story alive and full of action
Well Bill and the rest are great with a well told story that makes it keep up the action
Yes, I liked the rest of the series and look forward to the next one
Several both with humor and compassion moving and keeps the story with you wanting more
I am looking forward the next one in the series, Mr. Gualtieri please don't give up. We want more
