Publisher's Summary

Dante Galand has cured the sickness that trapped him on the Plagued Islands. Now it's time to leave. And kill a priest.

The target is Gladdic of Bressel. Gladdic, who executed Dante's friend, the pirate Captain Twill. Who all but enslaved the Plagued Islands. And whose visions of empire are far from over.

But Gladdic is trained in both ether and nether - and a darker magic than Dante has ever known. He's the most dangerous foe Dante has faced. And if Dante falls, so will an entire kingdom.

Set in a USA Today best-selling world, The Silver Thief is the second book in the Cycle of Galand.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Would definitely recommend this book & in fact the whole series. This series jumps about a bit with the introduction of new characters but you soon fall in with the flow of the story.

What did you like best about this story?

How easy it is to immerse yourself in the story

Have you listened to any of Tim Gerard Reynolds’s other performances? How does this one compare?

One of my favourite narrators, very easy to listen.

Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Often have a quiet chuckle at some of Blaze's comments

    Any additional comments?

Looking forward to the next book in the series

    "another epic adventure"

Once again Dante and Blays travel to distant lands, getting themselve into and out of trouble faster than you can say Lyalls balls!! I just love these characters and the adventures they have whilst freeing people from oppression, righting wrongs, and just being all round heros albeit reluctant ones. 10 out of 10 from me!!

"Great performance and love the story"

I enjoyed the story and the cbaracter development. The writer has not just created more stories for the characters but continued to develop them in their own rights. It is great to see some of my favorite characters ever continue to have witty banter while they grow.

The release of the original trilogy as a single volume hooked me like never before. These have been some of the most amazing audio books I've had the pleasure of listening to, the silver thief has been no different and brings more of the amazing adventure to date.

    "Great story and amazing reader!"

This has been such a great listen. It reminds me of the days when I was young and a captivating teacher would read us a story that lead our minds through an unforgettable journey. Edward Robertson is truly a gifted writer. Tim Gerard Reynolds makes this story come alive. These two together make it very difficult not to complete the books in one day! I can't wait for the next book!

    "Made we wish for insomnia"

An outstanding addition to this trilogy. So much so, I found it better than Book 1. Edward W. Robertson is one of the top 5 authors I've had the pleasure to experience in this genre and Tim Gerard Reynolds, as always, shows himself as being a top tier narrator. The author continues to seemingly effortlessly weave a wonderful mixture of humorous banter between Dante and Blaze that evokes almost a constant stream of snickers only to immediately plunge them and their team into bone chilling terror.

He also conjures up another character in a parallel story arc, Roech (sp?), whose adventures are just as compelling as Dante and Blaze.

I was left wanting for more, unwilling to wait for Book 3.

One of the very best narrators I've ever listened to, and I love the exceptional humour in the characters' dialogue - albeit not quite to the level of The Cycle of Arawn. I'd highly recommend this series to anyone interested in Fantasy!
