Publisher's Summary

Time was running out for Garion and his companions in their quest to recover Garion's infant son and heir. If they could not locate the Place Which Is No More, then Zandramas, the Child of Dark, would use Garion's son in a rite that would raise the Dark Prophecy to eternal domination over the universe. Only the Seeress of Kell could reveal the site of that mysterious place, and she could only do that once Garion and Polgara had fulfilled an ancient prophecy in the mountain fastness of the Seers.

Kell itself was closed to Zandramas, but her dark magic could force the knowledge she needed from one of Garion's party. She laid her traps and dispatched her foul minions, determined to claim the world for the Dark God. But Garion would let nothing stand between him and his son.

Excellent experience

After reading this series when I was younger, it was a fulfilling experience to now listen to them narrated. All 10 books and I'm disappointed it's finished. can almost guarantee I'll listen to them all again at some stage!

love love love

I first read these books when I was a new mother and I would read aloud to my son. Now I can work and listen to them and I have fallen in love with them all over again. Cameron is fantastic as a narrator!

Reader is poorest ever!

I have said it before and I will say it again, Cameron Beierle is not just bad, he is absolutely dreadful. The words he mispronounces are numberless … for example, ‘quay” is pronounced at ‘kway’ … whereas it should be spoken of as ‘key”. And it is so often found in the story they when it continuously comes up it makes one want to scream. His emphasis through the story is so bad … enough … how did he ever get to be chosen to read these, or any, books.

Narrator has. No natural rhythm.

The culmination of the story of Belgarion and his companions is masterful and satisfying. I was in the middle of reading the books but I ran out of time to complete them in physical format. I got the audio book to listen while driving and I was frustrated with Cameron Beierle's rhythm as a narrator. His ability to separate different voices is wonderful but the man has an awful cadence and his inflections put a termination in the middle of an utterance when it should flow on to the next word. It seems that at times he forgets and is natural speaker but then he remembers. That he's reading and. Performing a story and puts. Pauses in the wrong spots.

I was very pleased to get to the end of the audiobook and will not listen to him again.
