Story
A woman searching for a sister lost at sea. A man bent on finding lost treasure. A mother who has lost all hope. A maniac who believes all life exists for his pleasure. The man who would keep them all safe. Together, they will all seek below the waves for treasures long buried, and riches beyond belief. But those treasures hide something. Something ancient, something dark. A creature that exists only to feed on those that would enter into its realm. A creature... of The Deep.

Story
Off the coast of New Zealand, there's an underwater mining facility 8,000 feet under the ocean. The crew stationed there knows that drowning is the least of their worries at such depths. That's why they panic when a maintenance member goes missing while out on a repair mission. There's something far worse down there than the crushing pressure, the ticking timers on their oxygen tanks, and the everlasting darkness that inhabits such depths. And it's hunting them one by one.

Story
I've had to move out of the city and into the house I inherited here, in the idyllic fishing village of Porthcove, but only for as long as it takes to sell it. You see, I need the money, so I've started seeing some of the locals, you know, as patients, but I tell you, there's something really disturbing about charming neighbors sharing chilling secrets. And it isn't just that. It's the other things. Strange, inexplicable things. It started with odd smells, creepy sounds, and then the intruders...oh God, the intruders.

The inmates are now in charge and the staff must band together to survive.

Great story!
I really enjoyed this one. I felt like I was there in the prison with them... it had excellent detail and descriptions about the processes of working in a prison.
Lots of blood and gore, but there was also plenty of depth to the characters too.
Although my fave character didn’t make it, which was a shame, but it was good to have characters I actually cared about in a horror novel, they weren’t all just nameless red shirts.
I almost didn’t read this one because I didn’t really enjoy The Deep by the same author. I’m so glad I gave it a go, because it was much much better!
