From the world of The Godling Chronicles.
Filled with confidence and no small measure of arrogance, young Lee Starfinder, along with Millet Gristall, set off on their very first adventure. Lee quickly discovers that life beyond Hazrah can be far deadlier than he could have ever imagined. And soon he must learn that muscle and steel cannot replace loyalty, bravery, and friendship.

It was a great short story as a teaser into the actual series. The characters seemed interesting.
None come to mind, as I've not read/listened to anything similar as yet.
I liked the tone of his voice and the difference voices he used for the other characters. His tone for the female was also pretty good.
This teaser has me interested enough to now buy the actual Godling Chronicle series.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that I enjoyed this book as well as the narration. I kept yelling at one of the main characters because he was acting like a childish peacock but by the end I liked him a little better.
Good, short, story.
It gripped me quickly and held on tight until the end. Can't wait for more
"good short read."
it was a good short read. nice to know back story on Lee starfinder. the book progresses at a really nice pace.
"held my interest "
held my interest and left me wanting more of this story but it does not seem to continue in the next book although Lee is in the next book it does not have the rest of his journey or his companion that I know of
"Overall, A Great Story!"
This story was much better than I expected, and I'm glad I came across it. I found a new fantasy series to start!
Interesting enough to make me want to listen to the series. I want to learn more about the characters.
"A bit LOTR"
A bit LOTR but just a short fantasy version. It is good for what it is.
loved it will look for more of the author. will also let friends, family know.
"decent narrative and solid story"
the narrator had a decent voice but didn't quite bring the story to life, the story itself is a nice peek at the chronicles
i did like it,I did found it a little humoruos at parts and it was a good insight to godlings world
"Good and free"
liked the chapter in the end from the first book more then this short story, but it's free so check it out
"Interesting and well read"
An interesting world with well outlined characters. Didn't catch me fully but I am interested in trying out a book more to see where it leads me. well read.
brilliant book it's now got me hooked on reading the rest of the chronicle's series
"Adventure into Madness"
An enjoyable escape from sanity. The story is of greed and how it can give and take. Also how standing firm about what you want, is always wise.
I liked how the narrator gave the caracter their own voice and I could imagine them them easily. good free read
"A tale of two parts"
I wouldn't recommend Jewel but the free preview of the novel made it sound fun
Yes I intend to pick up the novel previewed after the short story
Evocative, worldly, lush
Millet needs to be be elderly wise and wiry Anthony Hopkins would be brilliant and bring a gravitas to it, Lee Needs to be young dashing a greek god in human form Chris Helmsworth perhaps
The short story isn't bad but it's nothing new either and the characters are all a bit too thin, but the novel preview sounds better, I think the extra space helps the writer here
loved it emencely. fun gritty mesmerising and inspiring very good read want more more more
"Can a man change so much?"
A man who is as arrogant and self centred as Lee Starfinder is presented at the start of the story couldn't change so much, so quicker. I found that a little hard to believe.
I general not a bad story and well narrated.
"Love it "
I really live this book because it is an advencher book and the bit I like is when lee star finder is fighting another gods sun.
"Not really my cup of tea"
I listened to this because it was free, it is not really my type of thing.
If you like the LOTR, classic "quest" type tales with pirates, swords and treasure this should probably appeal to you.
For the type of thing it is , I quite enjoyed it. The narration is not bad either.
