Somewhere on the frontier between thought and reality exists the Discworld, a parallel time and place that might sound and smell very much like our own, but that looks completely different. A wacky classic.
I love this narrators voice. This classic fantasy story really suits the irony and sarcasm that the narrator can put into the reading of the main character.

Very disappointing
Who would have thought that Tony Robinson, who is so good at storytelling on TV, would be such an abysmal narrator. He rushes through it, he's monotone and there's no performative quality whatsoever. He's literally just reading it aloud.

Perfect mating of author and narrator.
Where does The Colour of Magic rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This is the best matching of author and narrator that I have come across so far. To the point that I will now be hunting up all of Tony Robinsons narrations of Terry Pratchetts books!

Who was your favorite character and why?
There is no possibility of selecting one favourite when it comes to characters in this book. Let's face it, all of Terry Pratchetts characterisations are the best. Good, bad or down right crazy, they all surpass the standard character of any book.
Did you have an emotional reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I now play these in the car. So every time I get in and turn on the key, Tony's voice comes piping through the speakers and my grin is instantaneous.

Great listen
Tony does a graet job of narrating the Pratchett classic. Character voices are awesome. Well worth the listen.
