Publisher's Summary

It's the night before Hogswatch. And it's too quiet. There's snow, there are robins, there are trees covered with decorations, but there's a notable lack of the big fat man who delivers the toys. He's gone.

Susan the governess has got to find him before morning; otherwise, the sun won't rise. And unfortunately, her only helpers are a raven with an eyeball fixation, the Death of Rats, and an "oh god of hangovers". Worse still, someone is coming down the chimney. This time he's carrying a sack instead of a scythe, but there's something regrettably familiar....Ho, ho, ho. It's true what they say: "You'd better watch out."

Critic Reviews

"Has the energy of The Hitch-Hiker's Guide to the Galaxy and the inventiveness of Alice in Wonderland....It has also an intelligent wit and a truly original grim and comic grasp of the nature of things." ( Sunday Times)

Death And His Granddaughter Susan Return!

I love the character of death in the Discworld series. In this latest installment faith, belief and religion are explored when nefarious character take out a contract with the guild of assassins on the Hogfather. The story is hilarious while exploring more of the Discworld and its characters.

Good story, badly read/ poor volume control

The Story was very good,

but at time it went booming loud and having to turn it down, to the next sentence be so quiet you couldn't hear it, very annoying as it was difficult to find a good listening volume.
also some of the accents (voices for charters) were very garbled and hard to understand.
