I thought it was real
it gets really freaky at the end, I was looking for more an expose on the horrors of the asylum era. This is not that

Great narrator.
The narration was dramatic without being corny. The male characters are both foul misogynist who I couldn't sympathize with.

when I downloaded this I thought it was a biography. however, I still enjoyed the story.

Horror is not my cup of tea.
Going by the description I thought this was a true story, but not long into the story the utter intensity and over dramatising of the narrator I began to suspect it was all made up. After listening a bit longer I knew a man wouldn’t write such things in a diary that his future wife may one day find, especially when he goes out to work). Why would he hold on to such writings for so long? The son indicates his father didn’t want him to see his grand fathers writings, so why didn’t he throw them away or burn them. As the story rolled on it became more and more made up and it irritated me so much that I couldn’t finish it. I also think writing stories about murdering babies is warped.
Maybe it is good for an average horror, but I may be the wrong person to give judgement on it as I dislike horrors and many fiction stories and I always use logic and I can always see any i discrepancies in fictions.
