    "I really don't like abridged."
    Any additional comments?

abridged chopped up a story that could have been entertaining and left me wanting. I like both authors and have enjoyed most of their books. This was a disappointment.

    "Who abridged this book?"
What disappointed you about Generation Warriors?

The best parts of this book have been abridged out. I am not sure who decides what is worth being left out but all the parts of this book that made it funny and engaging were left out.

Has Generation Warriors turned you off from other books in this genre?

No because I read this genre all of the time. I won't listen to an abridged book again.

    Story
    "Good for a continuing story."

This was a good continuation for the Dinosaur planet survivors. If you have not read the series, this book will confuse the heck out of you. This story does not stand alone. It is like a chapter of a continuing story. And this would be chapter 6 or 7. If however, you have read all the previous books, (which audible does not have) you will like the story. There is no description of the main characters in this installment. The total story (all the chapters, is quiet well written. It is only hard to follow if you do not have all the books or the proper order for them.
Read it yourself if you can. The performer is rather bland and does not contribute much to the story.

    Story
    "good story. Audio not quality"

I enjoyed the story and cringed at only having the abridged version available. The audio quality was lower than I'm accustomed to with audio books with the audio sounding like it was filtered by cotton.

    Story
"Great story, audio book cut much too short"
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?

Extremely disappointed that so very much of the book was omitted from this audio performance. Anyone looking to renew acquaintance with this book will miss all the details of the adventures of the various team members' travels from Ireta to Fed Central for the trial. This summary version only provides an abbreviated version of the main character's POV.

    Any additional comments?

There were unabridged versions of books one and two of this trilogy, so why completely gut this third and concluding book of the trilogy? Don't waste money or a credit on this audio book version. You're better off reading the paperback or e-book.

    Story
    "Irritating"
This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

The link where I bought this book did not make clear that it was an abridged version or I would NOT have purchased it. I have read and enjoyed this book many times in the hard copy form and was eagerly anticipating enjoying it again in the audible format. There are so many important details missing that the story is almost incomprehensible and certainly in not worth listening to.

Would you ever listen to anything by Anne McCaffrey and Elizabeth Moon again?

Any complete novel by two of my favorite authors would be a joy.

What does Constance Towers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Not a damned thing since the story she was given to perform/read is so damned incomplete.

    Story
"Poor Audio Quality for a Mediocre Book"

Hoping to finish this series before the end of the year, I decided to go with the abridged audiobook. I made the choice also because I didn't enjoy any of the other books in the series and wanted to get it over with as quickly as possible. And, strangely enough, despite the very short running time, I still don't feel like much happened. The whole story is still confusing and not very interesting to me, and I can't really understand why it is popular amongst certain circles. There is nothing really new here, and the personalities and thought processes of the characters are still just as strange and alien as in the other books. I'm glad to be done with this series.

The audio quality is pretty low, since it seems to have been recorded a long time ago. I think Audible realized though that it's not worth the expense to have this re-recorded. This series is probably only going to appeal to avid fans of Anne McCaffrey and Elizabeth Moon.

    "Good story - bad microphone"
Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

Actually, although I would recommend the book, I would not recommend the audio version. Not because of bad reading, the performer does a good job, but because of the technical standard.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Generation Warriors?

My favourite scene has not been recorded

Do you think Generation Warriors needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

No, no follow up. Generation Warriors ends two story lines and that should be it
