"A great story that keeps you interested"
I only have time for audio, truck driver with 8 hours aday driving. Love audio books and this series is great
Love the whole series, this one is sort of stand alone with the many different characters and each has a role to play.
Well the part where they save the hostages, and hand out some revenge
not sure this is a good title of the book
Look forward to reading all the rest and hope that Mr Conroe will keep writing them. Look forward the next ones
"Dissapointing and Annoying ending :/"
no not alone, the ending is just to bad and removes the main drag of the serie...
yes, because all the other books in the serie was awesome up to this point
if it was part of the rest of the serie properly... depend how the next book is, if it follows the bad of this book instead of bringing the good back i wouldnt.
I’ve loved the series all up to the end of this book… which just seems too stupid to believe -.-
They basically destroy the majority of what we have learned about the main character, destroying all the abilities we seen him gain, removing all the skills, intelligence and even the reactionary pattern of him doesn’t make sense to the rest of the books and up to this point.
It truly just destroys the Charm and awesome feeling of the main char being Super overpowered and send him back to being nothing more than a basic supernatural power… it is really damn sad……
Not sure why the author decided to suddenly go the direct opposite routed of the rest of the books….
Anyway the rest of the serie before this was awesome, this book was good besides the personality changes of his “bad side”, and the ending “makeup” with the usa. Which was both just stupid and silly
SPOILER!!!!!!!!! SPOILER!!!!!!!!! SPOILER!!!!!!!!! SPOILER!!!!!!!!! SPOILER!!!!!!!!! SPOILER!!!!!!!!! SPOILER!!!!!!!!! SPOILER!!!!!!!!! SPOILER!!!!!!!!! SPOILER!!!!!!!!! SPOILER!!!!!!!!! SPOILER!!!!!!!!!
I mean seriously, knocked out by gas?? His immune to sicknesses, he can only be poisoned by uranium, he can heal half his head in mili-seconds (but apparently the healing ignores the effect of gas ehem -.-) and even uranium have minor effect on him, and the speed gas would flow in would be snail slow compared to the speed of the main char….
Also his bad side refusing to kill now when there is direct danger, even though we know from earlier books it learned that holding back will get it killed -.- so makes no sense….
Seriously it’s the “be weak and useless because I need it for the plot” setup which was just beyond stupid :(
I really can't get enough of Chris and all of his companions. Can't wait to read the next one!
"Fun Easy Read/Listen"
All of John Conroe's books in this series have been a bit "Out There"...well since they're dealing w/vampires, weres, etc...they're already out there, but even w/reality stretched or in some cases really stretched, Conroe covers all the bases so well, it's as if things were truly happening in today's world. He treats it from all sides, getting into each reaction & responses of the main characters, politicians, military, media, & more. A lot of authors of this type of paranormal will gloss over it or mention it in passing as they move the story along, but in this series it's worked in so well, I doubt the series would play as well w/o it.
It's a fun light series to listen to....
"This series is very addicting! One of the best."
The characters are all really likeable. The writing takes you from tender moments between characters to conflicts with evil, our team of heros usually prevail and it is just plain fun. I agree with a previous commentor that the success of the goverment in this book was a bit of a downer and was why I only gave it four stars. One more note, if you have such a tiny little mind that you can not handle a work of fiction that includes concepts of Heven and Hell that may not be biblical, you might not like this, but get a grip. Its fiction, not an attempt to redefine your religion.
I have truly enjoyed Cronin's naration in this series. He is excellent for this type of book.
This series really reminds me of everything that was good about The Old World of Darkness.
"it's still a good story"
it's still a good story, just didn't like the government getting the better of the kick butt team..or the big world wide reveal. My opinion is it took something from the story.
"Great progress in the series"
Action, intrigue, Angels, demons, vampires, werewolves and more! This series continues to fascinate and just when you think the story loop is closed...it twists and turns. I absolutely love the series, narration. The US government makes a great super villain.
"The Author really needs to read the Bible."
If the Author would read the bible instead of making crap up.
The fights come off cool.
You cannot earn your way into heaven. It really ticks me off that in this book they say you can and that it doesnt matter what faith you believe in. Also I'm getting really tired of all the cussing. It does not need to be used all the time.John 14:6King James Version (KJV)Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
"Well written and fun to listen to"
Yes because the book was filled with humour, excitement and very insightful
Just listening meant I could close my eyes imagine the characters. It is so well written that this is made easy and enjoyable.
Yes I felt the sadness and the joy.
