Im Januar 2037 steckt Perry Rhodan in einer verzweifelten Lage: Eigentlich wollte er mit der TOSOMA nach Arkon vorstoßen, ins Zentrum eines riesigen Sternenreiches - doch unterwegs strandete das Raumschiff buchstäblich im Leerraum. Auf dem Gespinst, einer gigantischen Station im All, ergaben sich zwar wichtige Kontakte, vor allem aber neue Probleme. Seit die riesenhaften Naats aufgetaucht sind, die Söldner des Arkon-Imperiums, hat sich die Lage zugespitzt: Die Menschen werden als Gegner betrachtet.
Rhodan verbirgt sich zusammen mit der Arkonidin Thora und dem Mausbiber Gucky auf der Eiswelt Snowman. Andere Raumfahrer sind bereits in Gefangenschaft der Naats geraten, während sich einige noch an Bord der Raumstation verstecken können. Überall nimmt der Druck auf die Flüchtigen zu - und Perry Rhodan stößt auf der Eiswelt auf ungewöhnliche Verbündete. Können andere Gestrandete dabei helfen, die Menschen vor den Naats zu retten?
