Publisher's Summary

Morganthal's exploration squad is being butchered by some kind of robots in planet Verdunne. She needs a reinforcement squad to save them, that's Major Ryvenbark and his 12 men. Ryvenbark finds the exploration squad on its last breath, but there is still so much to come.

Belen Morganthal has lost an exploration squad. It's now two days with no communications, so she does what she always does when things gets tough: calls Major Logan Ryvenbark. Ryvenbark takes 12 men and women as his crew; they're given the star cruiser Ranger Two, equipped with new war weapons such as the Disintegrator Ray, a Planet Buster Bomb, and military robots.

After three days traveling at an uncomfortable speed, they get to Verdunne. They find the lost squad's ship and some dead bodies, those who are still alive are fighting for their lives against golden robots. He gets information out of a prisoner, but before he could use it, a black warship approaches towards them and it's changing form and shape continuously!

Logan Ryvenbark discovers their purpose: the attack on the humans in the galaxy is imminent.
