Story
For the first time ever, the H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society has produced an audio recording of all of Lovecraft's stories. These are not dramatizations like our Dark Adventure Radio Theatre - rather, this is an audiobook of the original stories, in all-new, never-before-heard recordings made by the HPLHS' own Andrew Leman and Sean Branney exclusively for this collection. This collection spans his entire career from his earliest surviving works of childhood to stories completed shortly before his death. All tales include original music by HPLHS composer Troy Sterling Nies.

Great story
I enjoyed it, it's a fantastic story, but the constant semi-philosophical elements got on my nerves a Little! I would still recommend this wonderful book and production.

No children Within
another brilliant chapter to add to the Dune saga. I'm personally surprised that they've not done some sort of GOT series style for these.
I'm fascinated by the dialogue and characters.
It's not everyones taste, but true to the prequels it delivers another riveting storyline with PLENTY of intriguing dialogue and concepts that just keep you enthralled in this complex theology that is Dune!

Can be quite slow and convoluted, but imports a lot of wisdom. Persevere with it.

sinking barbs in your flesh
Herbert plays with our assumptions, preconceptions and expectations, eliciting reactions within us, playing us like a balliset with a fine hand. He does this so that we might become aware of how these “attempts at prediction” lock us onto a certain path, which suddenly the infinite universe disrupts, inverting the situation. Our feelings of disappointment or thrill, a heightened heartbeat or a sudden expansion of mental clarity are the signs he wishes us to note. “Paying attention to the teacher, one gains an education.”

Return to glory
Children of Dune is a very well-written, satisfying story. I found the previous book very slow, and fairly boring, so I’m really glad this book captured and improved on the original Dune atmosphere.
