I don't know how Luke Daniel's does it, but somehow he has the voice of 50 different people, I find myself forgetting the book is narrated by one person, he is amazing!
the story is amazing! I can not wait till book 4!
"Ember War 3"
Well pleased , shall invest further. GOT MIT UNS! Excellent vocalizations and plot continuity, shalom
"Never Ending Action and Turns"
This is another great book in the series and it continues with Hails adventures and the action is never ending...
"The story continues"
Enjoyable listen. The science is a little weird, but some good humor and story is fun. Star Trek sort of story, just have to overlook the impossibility of the individual episodes. Good character development. Good narration
"Excellent, possibly, probably better that 1&2"
you can't go wrong with the author and narrator combo, I have read the first two and this book in less than two days and am diving into 4 and it's almost 2a.m. it will be time to cook my wife and kid breakfast soon, right as book for starts ramping up I suspect!
Fox is a good story teller, but should have been two books not four, three at the most.
"couldn't put it down"
Just wish it was longer. was over well before I was ready TOI have to wait for book 4.
I am very interested to see how the story progresses. a few different story lines just converged. anticipation and excitement and needing to know what is going on are all on high alert for me.... then it's over.
I've been heavily recommending this series to anyone I swap suggestions and share books with. it will absolutely not disappoint.
"Great action sci-fi"
Excellent narrator, the story is fun and entertaining. I am actually going to wait for the other books even though I am curious to see where things go from here!
"well written and well performed"
the story is really well written with enough action taking place so it never boring for one second and just the way it is performed by luke daniels is really amazing. can't wait for the next installment of the series
"With so few left to lose, it's hard to lose ..."
from the few, the proud, the marines. The loss of "armor" is to be expected but these soldiers are so unique, it too, is unfortunate to hear of any loss from their ranks.
This book continues with its fast pace approach to the war to save humanity that is teetering on extinction. It also opens the question of what the essence of being human means by introducing a new construct that consists of human DNA, both sentient and sapient and has memories from past human lives programmed in it in such a way that it, itself, is not aware that it is a construct. Are they souless? Cannon fodder? Slaves? A unique take on the faux-human debate.
Also, the three former ChiCom ace pilots perform some awesome heroic maneuvers that make them a credit to their air group.
And while we're at it, "there's something about Stacy?"
