Battle Lines is the fifth book in Dr. Bradley's Survivalist series. Series Order: Frontier Justice, Anarchy Rising, Judgment Day, Madness Rules, Battle Lines, and Finest Hour.
Description: Convinced that a militia leader holds the key to finally exacting justice, Deputy Marshal Mason Raines enters the destroyed city of Lexington. Traveling with the unlikeliest of allies, he must confront mutated survivors of the Superpox-99 virus as well as an elite group of military assassins sent to clean up evidence of President Pike's crimes.
Meanwhile, Tanner and Samantha discover that their Naval Observatory hideaway isn't as safe as they would have liked to believe. Forced to once again travel the roads, they face all new threats, including bloodthirsty animals, and survivalists with a twisted system of justice. When they come face-to-face with patient zero, not only does the origin of the virus become clear but also a glimmer of hope for mankind's last survivors.
With sanity continuing to slip away, President Pike orders the abduction and murder of General Carr. As plans falter and allies depart, he is forced to accept that a larger showdown is coming. Battle lines are being drawn, and in the end, only the most ruthless will be left standing.

"Love this series"
I simply can't get enough of this fiction series. What a story. The end of this installment is the only disappointing moment.
Another good book in a great story. This story has cool characters, and the theme develops well.
"This is the best SHTF series in my opinion"
I just love this series. I really do. Good wins (or indications are that it will...with or without the death of the protagonists, we shall see). Great characters. Realistic situations. I have listened to dozens (sad, isn't it??) of this genre and I can't think of any that come close...maybe Day-by-Day, but not really. Just the best.
"This is a great series!!!"
Action packed keeps you glued to the story.
I like all the characters each has a vital role in the story,But tanner is my favorite.
He is just a great narrator good distinction between characters and great thru the action parts of the story this book would NOT be the same with out him.
"I love this series."
I have read around a 100 post apocalyptic novels and this series definitely makes my top ten if not top five. Can't wait to find out how it ends.
"worth listening to twice"
Other than a helicopter having a "driver" it's still enjoyable and worth listening to twice.
very good ser I es of books, the people in the series are fin to listen to. And it really holds your interest.
really awsome loved the characters and story it had a good flow and was easy to follow without being repetitive
"another good one"
another good book in the series. I am even trying to convince my wife into letting me get a Irish wolfhound.
"The Raines Boys"
I'm glad to see Tanner and his son, Mason together... Good idea how their separate stories merged and they are finally together. Although, Tanner has been taking a beating throughout, he's tough, yet civilized. Mason still shows he's will to track down his man and discovers the truth of the entire situation...! Can't wait to start listening to Book 6.
